Tour Details

9 AM pick up in a private air-conditioned vehicle. Travel northeast of Accra to Mampong in the Eastern Region of Ghana. Visit the site of the Tetteh Quarshie Cocoa Farm, the first cocoa farm in Ghana.

Take a guided tour of the cocoa farm and listen to the history of how cocoa came to Ghana. Learn how cocoa is planted and picked.

Taste a ripe cocoa fruit and feel the natural taste of cocoa before it is processed into chocolates. Return to Aburi Botanical Gardens and learn about botanical plants and their medicinal usage. Stop at the Aburi craft market to see a variety of local art and crafts. And finally, you can buy some souvenirs on the way back home.
