Tour Details

Embark on a journey that spans approximately 3 hours, departing from Accra to Cape Coast, a picturesque coastal town steeped in history.

Upon your arrival, partake in a traditional naming ceremony, a captivating experience that will immerse you in the local Fante culture. During this ceremony, you will receive both a soul name and a traditional name. Feel free to ask any questions you may have, both before and after this meaningful event.

Next, explore the profound historical significance of the region by visiting Elmina Castle, a colonial fortress dating back to 1482, initially constructed by the Portuguese. Over time, it became a pivotal stop along the harrowing Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade route.

Continue your journey to the Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest sites associated with the infamous Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade.

Please note that the dress code for the naming ceremony is all white, adding to the authenticity and reverence of the experience.

This activity includes:

  • Pick-up & drop off at any location of your choice in Accra.
  • Entrance fees at all scheduled sites.
